ALISON Hammond has admitted the stars of This Morning aren’t friends amid her controversially replacing veteran hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
The ex-Big Brother contestant’s confession will fuel reports of a rift on the ITV show after Ruth and Eamonn were left “furious and upset” by the shock move.

Despite revealing she went to the pair’s star-studded wedding in 2010, Alison, 45, claimed that only main presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have a significant relationship off-camera.
Speaking to The Sun before the shake-up, she revealed: “We’re not on top of each other, do you know what I mean?

Alison revealed that the This Morning cast “all go and do their own thing”.[/caption]
“Phillip and Holly, they go on holiday together. They genuinely love each other, in a brother and sister way.
“But literally when we finish everyone wants to go home to their families and see them.
“We’ve got it just right I think. But no they all go and do their own thing.”

Alison has faced a backlash after it was revealed she and Dermot O’Leary would be taking over from Ruth and Eamonn Holmes.[/caption]
Earlier this week, Ruth, who has presented This Morning alongside Eamonn for 14 years, was forced to deny she had made a jibe about Alison’s reality TV past.
In an interview published weeks before the couple were dropped, she said: “We’ve put the work in. We didn’t do a reality show and get an overnight job on the telly. We’ve come up through the ranks.”

The couple have presented the show for 14 years and were said to be “furious” about the decision.[/caption]
Yesterday, Alison shared a powerful message on Instagram amid the backlash to her new role, saying: “Strong people don’t put others down. They lift them up.”
The I’m a Celebrity star will be joined by Dermot O’Leary, 47, on the Friday editions of This Morning – with Ruth and Eamonn, both 60, demoted to covering Holly and Phil’s summer break.

Alison’s comments echo those of fellow This Morning host Rylan Clark-Neal, 32, who hinted that he is not friends with all his co-stars.
He said: “People always ask me if I’m best friends with everyone I work with in telly – but no, not everyone you work with is your friend.
“Some of the people I work with talk to people like s**t… what’s the point of pretending you’re mates with everyone?”
