France international Kante has been deployed in a more advanced position under Sarri this season.
The former Leicester man is regarded as the best defensive midfielder in the world.
However, Sarri has opted to use Jorginho as a holding midfielder and push Kante further forward.
The Italian rarely gives Kante credit for his role in the Chelsea side, with Sarri recently claiming the midfielder struggles with one-touch football.
He said: “Kante in my opinion can play with the two midfielders and with three midfielders in my football, he is better on the right or left because in the centre I want to have a technical player.
“Against Brighton, Jorginho played 161 balls.
“So for our football it is very important to have a central midfielder who is technical and very fast with his mind and able to play with one touch.
“Kante is wonderful for something different but not for playing with one touch.”
And Chelsea fans took to social media to slam Sarri for his comments, with many claiming the Italian doesn’t appreciate Kante.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “Sarri still bashing Kante; World’s best CM. World Cup winner. PL ×2 winner. POTY winner.
“Sarri has never had a player of that quality in his career. Yet he’s here trying to belittle Kante’s prowess?? F*** this idiot. #SarriOut.”
Another added: “Would be great if he stopped slagging off one of the best midfielders in the world.”
“Sarri can go to hell… Kante is good at whatever position he plays… what he talking about,” said another Blues fan.
A fellow Chelsea supporter added: “I’m Sarri in, but his comments about Kante make me think otherwise…”
“How can you say that Kante can’t do that when Sarri hasn’t tried?” another wrote on Twitter.
Kante impressed for Chelsea on Monday evening as the Blues beat West Ham 2-0 in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
