Courteney Cox, 55, took social media today to share a throwback snap of the cast of Friends, which was taken exactly 16 years ago to the day.

The picture which was captioned “The Last Supper”, was taken just before the co-stars filmed the final episode of the popular sitcom in 2004.

Courteney sat alongside Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and Matt Le Blanc in the picture alongside a low table laden with food.

The actress, who famously played Monica Gellar in the comedy show, told her 7.1 million followers a bit more information about the image in her post.

She said: “’The Last Supper’ before taping ‘The Last One’ on Jan 23, 2004. #tbt #friends.”(sic)

Courteney’s female co-stars, who she recently met up with, took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the post.

Lisa, 56, who played Phoebe Buffay, said: “Awwww,” followed by a shocked face emoji and then a heart and donut emoji.

Rachel Green star Jennifer, 50, simply added the crying emoji.

Noticing how tactile the cast were in the picture, one Instagram user pointed out that an emotional-looking Jennifer had her hands on the legs of two of her co-stars.

She held onto Matthew, who played Chandler Bing and Matt, who played Joey Tribbiani, while Courteney placed her hand on Lisa.

David, who played Courteney’s on-screen brother Ross Gellar, leans into the group for the sweet snap.

The amused user wrote: “You and Jens hands are on so many thighs lol.”(sic)

The iconic TV show ran for ten years from 1994 and ended with a special hour-long episode in 2004.

Earlier this month, Jennifer, who recently won a SAG Award, ditched the Critic’ Choice Awards to spend time with her former co-stars Lisa and Courteney.

The Morning Show star, who is new to Instagram, delighted her fans when she took to social media to share a picture of the trio during a dinner date.

There have been a string of Friends reunions of late, causing fans to wonder if a comeback show is on the cards in the near future.

This throwback snap is sure to send fans into a spin again.
