A CROOK who mowed down an armed cop with his car has been jailed.
Aydin Altun, 26, floored his Mercedes after being stopped by police probing a shooting incident.

CCTV and body cam footage showed the armed cop clinging to the bonnet before being thrown off[/caption]
The Old Bailey heard PC Lewis Crowder clung on to the bonnet before being thrown off.
He suffered concussion and ligament damage.
He told the court: “I remember being scared for my life, I thought I was going to die.
“I remember thinking if this car was going to crash, I was going to die.”

Altun, of Tottenham, North London, has 26 previous convictions.
He was cleared of attempted murder but found guilty of trying to cause GBH and jailed for 11 years, nine months.
The judge also banned him from driving.
