England's coronavirus cases plummet 28% week on week – lowest total since October 14

The NHS Test and Trace system reported a significant fall in patients who tested positive for the deadly virus. These reassuring figures come hours after the country exited its second lockdown.

Latest figures show 110, 620 people tested positive for the virus between November 19 and November 25.

This shows a week-on-week decrease of 29 percent, with just 6.7 percent of all people tested receiving a positive result.

It is the lowest total since the week ending October 14.
