DEAR DEIDRE: I’M sure my wife cheated on me while we were on holiday in Ibiza last year.

We are both 48. I managed to get a ticket to see my favourite band while I was there.

Heavy metal isn’t my wife’s scene so she said she’d chill at the hotel.

I couldn’t see her anywhere when I got back and I was dozing on the bed when she came into the room with a man.

She said loudly: “Oh, he’s here” and pushed the guy back out.

She returned three hours later clearly drunk and fell into bed.

One of my mates has an apartment in the same resort and texted me: “I think I just saw your wife snogging with some bloke.”

She won’t admit getting up to anything and it’s still eating into me all this time later.

DEIDRE SAYS: You’ve got a good idea what happened and it’s a waste of emotional energy trying to get your wife to fill in the details.

Look less at the what and more at the why.

Was it just the alcohol or have you two neglected one another so your relationship feels flat?
