EMMA and Matt Willis have given followers a glimpse into their son Ace’s multi-coloured birthday party.

The lad, who the couple have been praised for raising free of gender stereotypes, turned nine yesterday in style.

Ace was seen on his new gymnastics set surrounded by colourful unicorn and pineapple balloon before blowing out the candles on the amazing cake he designed himself.

Emma, 44, posted an adorable tribute to the lad, sharing a picture of them kissing and writing: “Happy birthday baby boy.

“Nine years gone in the blink of an eye, it really does fly by doesn’t it… Hes the kindest kid with the sweetest of souls, I am constantly in awe of him.

“Pure and true in everything he does, open minded, thoughtful, inquisitive and a creative mind that is constantly exploring.

Matt shared a picture of him and Ace together writing: “The only thing I ever wanted to be was a dad!

“Happy birthday to my beautiful boy Ace…”

Fans have previously hailed the couple for letting Ace choose his own style after Emma posted a picture of him with long hair and wearing a pink top.

She captured the pic, which also featured her husband tapping away on his phone in the background: “My little style icon ❤ (Ace, not Matt 😂).”

One follower replied: “Just shows how far we have to go in breaking down gender stereotypes.

“Pink is simply a colour. Hair grows. Let kids (or adults) wear whatever they want!”

Speaking on Good Morning Britain Emma said she was “overwhelmed” by the reponse she got to the picture of her son in a pink top.

She said: “For me that’s normality. He loves colour, he’s always had long hair, he’s a free and able-minded boy.

“He’s like: ‘Why do I have to dress in green and blue and grey, when I love red and pink and purple?’ He’s always been that way.”
