Many style fans may well be feeling hard done by this year as festive royal outings will be at a minimum. With the Queen isloating, there will be no Christmas visit to chruch for style fans to coo over Kate Middleton’s ensemble.
There has also been no festive Christmas card from Harry and Meghan Markle so far, leaving the fans of the Duchess without another peek at her designer laden wardrobe.
Given their different backgrounds and very different styles, the Duchesses have always had their own take on Christmas style.

“Whether they’re glamming up or keeping it casual, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are both known for having impeccable style – and the festive period is no exception,” Katie said.
“Each of them has their own signature winter style that they’ve mastered over the years.”
So, how does the Duchess of Cambridge tackle the Christmas season?
“For Kate, she sticks with her trademark elegance, even when she’s dressing cosily in a statement knit and puffer jacket combo,” Katie explained.
“She is a fan of classic silhouettes, but will bring in her love of colour to keep things feeling contemporary and fresh, whether it’s bright pink or a classic Christmas palette of red and green, which suits her colouring perfectly.”

The key to Kate Middleton’s Christmas style [GUIDE]
Embracing traditional Christmas colours and prints could be the key to dressing like the chic Duchess over the festive period.
Katie went on: “My favourite Christmas looks from Kate often include tartan – she wears the print so well, whether it’s her Alexander McQueen blue and green coat that she’s re-worn, a Miu Miu red and green number, or a red pleated skirt by Emilia Wickstead.
“It’s a perfect look for the festive season, and can be worn casually or as part of a smarter ensemble.
“As Kate is such a fan of the high street, it’s not always designer labels for Christmas – in 2016 she wore a burgundy Hobbs coat on Christmas Day – another brand we carry at Stitch Fix, and one I often turn to when customers want the royal treatment!”
How does former-actress and Hollwood-born-and-bred Meghan approach Christmas dressing?
The actress is known for a fashion-forward take on dressing, is a fan of minimal styles and has previously named wife of John F Kennedy, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy as her style icon.
Katie said: “Meghan’s signature winter wardrobe is also highly sophisticated and fashionable – she’s often seen wearing tailored separates, in understated, earthy, warming colours.
“While Kate loves a print, Meghan’s Christmas style is more pared back – an example being on Christmas Day in 2018, when Kate went for a festive red coat and matching headband, whilst Meghan opted for a classic navy ensemble with black leather boots.
“Meghan’s Christmas style tends to see her favour a more neutral colour palette – in 2018 for example, her look was made up of a stylish camel coat, with a caramel fascinator, paired with brown boots.
“This is a look you can mimic with brands such as Mint Velvet and Samsoe & Samsoe.
“While she looks amazing in these colours, she tends to lean away from greens or reds, making Kate’s Christmas style more traditionally festive.”
