A MUM who scammed a £7,000 designer vagina op has dodged jail after being caught with cocaine in her car.

Stephanie Watson, 29, was found with a bag of white powder after cops searched her motor in Bothwell, Lanarkshire.

Stephanie Watson admitted having cocaine in her car

Watson, who receives benefits of £1400 a month, had been stopped by officers when they found the drugs last May.

She appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted possessing the class A drug – later revealed it to be 0.14 grams

The serial fraudster was spared jail by Sheriff Ross Macfarlane QC who ordered her to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

Depute fiscal Jennifer Guy said: “The item was recovered in the footwell of a car owned by the accused following a search.

“This was later tested and found to be cocaine.”

Watson has avoided jail over the class A drug possession

Tony Linden, defending, said: “She has no previous convictions for drugs and there is no considerable value here.

“This is a young lady who has had difficulties and is now trying to rehabilitate herself away from some very negative influences in her life.

“She receives £1400 per month in benefits and the great majority of that will be put towards her family.”

Sheriff Macfarlane told her: “The discount here for pleading guilty is that I’m not considering sending you back to prison but ordering a period of unpaid work.”

Last year Watson admitted paying for a vagina operation with bogus credit cards.

Bosses at the Edinburgh Clinic tracked her down on Facebook following an anonymous tip-off.

She was ordered to perform 200 hours unpaid work and pay £770 compensation for the scam at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and also had a four month tagging order imposed.

In another case, she admitted going on a £5,000 spending spree with bogus credit cards across Lanarkshire.

Watson booked an engagement party at a venue owned by ex-Celtic star Harry Hood and paid for the hall and other party accessories.

She also forked out on a new engine and repairs for her flashy BMW motor, which had a customised registration spelling out ‘B****’, at a cost of £4,620.

Watson was later jailed for a year after admitting battering a man and driving while banned.

She was spotted by police as trouble flared among a group of people in Motherwell, Lanarkshire.

The mum-of-two drove off in an Audi car but CCTV had recorded her repeatedly punch and spit on her victim.
