Lidl shops are stocking up for Christmas and there’s thousands of delicious treats on offer this festive season. From 3-bird roasts, stuffed goose and boneless salmon fillets to hazelnut florentines, rich fruit cake and dusted stollen, there’s something for everyone at the budget retailer this year. They’ve even improved their vegan and vegetarian range this year.
Try out the hazelnut, cashew and cranberry nut roast or tuck in to a mushroom and butternut squash vegan wellington this Christmas Day.
Or if cheese is your thing, Lidl is offering festive selections including a gecko ale and smoked ham cheese bake or a 30-month matured handmade vintage cheddar.
And for just £4.99, wash it all down with the firm’s Christkindl Mulled Wine.
Or if you’re looking for leftover recipes beyond the classic Boxing Day sandwich, Lidl has pulled together some simple snacks and warming dinners to try this winter.
When will Lidl be open over Christmas?
Lidl has released a full schedule for its opening hours this Christmas and festive season.
And the firm has even been kind enough to give some of its staff an extra day off this year, meaning all stores ill be closed on December 25 while in Wales shops will remain closed on December 26.
December 23 – Open from 7am to 11pm in England and from 7am to 10pm in Scotland and Wales
December 24 – Open from 7am to 11pm in England and from 7am to 10pm in Scotland and Wales
December 25 – Closed
December 26 – Closed in Wales and England outside the M25, but open from 11am to 5pm in Scotland and 10am to 7pm in London
December 27 – Open as normal
December 28 – Open as normal
December 29 – Open as normal
December 30 – Open as normal
December 31 – Shops inside the M25 will open from 8am to 8pm, while the rest of England and Wales will open from 8am to 6pm. Scotland shops will open from 8am to 7pm
January 1 – Closed in Scotland, Wales and England outside the M25, but open from 10am to 7pm in London
January 2- Open as normal
Ahead of the Christmas break, Lidl has slashed the prices of Christmas vegetabes ina bid to lure in shoppers.
For just 15p, you can pick up 500g of Brussel sprouts, 1kg of carrots, a red cabbage, parsnips or British mini roasts.
