The publisher has released the Duchess’ author bio, which features a sweet nod to their two dogs and “growing flock of rescue chickens”.

The bio reads: “Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, is a mother, wife, feminist, and activist.

“Through the nonprofit work of the Archewell Foundation, she and her husband are committed to activating compassion in communities across the world.

“She currently resides in her home state of California with her family, two dogs, and a growing flock of rescue chickens.”

Royal fans took to Twitter to comment on the chickens, which made an appearance during Harry and Meghan’s recent interview with Oprah Winfrey.

One tongue-in-cheek user queried: “Rescue chickens – didn’t she cook a roast chicken for Harry when they started dating?”

Another person quipped: “The chickens should watch out.

“Harry and Meghan roasted a chicken one of their first dates.”
