Melania Trump looked ready for business as she wore a black shirt dress today.
The wife of Donald Trump, 73, the President of the United States, was on official business.
She wore a black denim dress with a black belt and black stitching.
The sleeves of the garment were rolled up in a casual fashion.
The First Lady’s hair was blow dried into neat curls.
On her feet she wore a pair of suede stilettos with huge heels.
Melania flew to West Virginia in a private jet to carry on the work of her Be Best campaign.
Her press secretary tweeted: “HAPPENING NOW: @flotus is wheels up & on her way to West Virginia to participate in mtgs w state & local leaders and learn more about community efforts to combat the opioid epidemic.”
The Be Best campaign, which Melania founded as First Lady, focuses on drug addiction as one of its major causes.
The White House website reads: “Opioid dependence, addiction, and abuse are an epidemic in this country.
“BE BEST will support the families and children affected by this crisis, bring attention to neonatal abstinence syndrome, and help educate parents on the importance of healthy pregnancies.”
Melania Trump’s Fourth of July dress was interpreted by some has having a political message, as the day coincided with LGBTQ+ pride.
She wore a stunning white dress with horizontal coloured stripes, in different colours of the rainbow.
Some interpreted the dress as being a nod to LGBTQ+ pride due to the colours.
One took to Twitter to muse: “Interesting. Melania has on a white dress with multicoloured stripes. Gay pride? She’s a rebel.”
Another put: “@FLOTUS supported #Pride with colour stripes in her dress!”
A third continued: “@FLOTUS wore a dress with rainbow stripes, and it’s not the first time she has worn rainbows during Pride.”
But this wasn’t the only controversy to do with the outfit. The gown sadly became see-through on the day.
Melania Trump’s dress showed off more than she bargained for, with her nipples showing through the white fabric.
Within seconds of photos emerging, fans flocked to Twitter, with many comparing her choice of clothing to a “wet shirt” contest.
