DEAR DEIDRE: MY partner is refusing to move in with me and our kids for Christmas because he says my house is too small.
We have been together for five years and have two kids, aged four and 18 months. I am 29 and my partner is 34.

He rents a room in his mate’s house 20 miles away, as he doesn’t like the town where I live.
He wants me to get a bigger house near to where he lives now before he will move in.
But my mum helps with the kids and I need to be close to her.
The kids want their dad but I can only see our relationship working if we live together.
