Prince Philip's royal train bathroom 'detail' means he can multi-task on the toilet

“Unlike her mother who had a red line to stop spillage of water the Queen has her own protocol in place to make sure she can enjoy a full tub without a mess,” continued the documentary.

David McClure, a royal historian, continued: “It is said she quite likes to have a regular bath and when that happens the train driver is instructed to stop in a siding so that waters don’t slosh over the royal tub.”

Despite having some small tweaks and features put in place, however, the train itself is said to be less opulent and more fictional.

“The royal train is made up of bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge, dining areas,” said Mr Hillyard.
