KATHRYN Dennis is eager to meet her ex’s new fiancée after finding out about their engagement from an online news article, a source exclusively told The Sun.
The Southern Charm alum, who is in the middle of a nasty custody battle with Thomas Ravenel over their children, Kensington, 6, and Saint, 5, was “left in the dark” about his impending nuptials to Heather Mascoe.

Thomas, 58, announced he’d popped the question in October, after the pair revealed they’d welcomed a son, Jonathan Jackson Ravenel, back in June.
It followed Heather’s secret pregnancy – but Kathryn, 29, was unaware until just weeks before she gave birth.
A source told The Sun: “Kathryn has still not met Heather but she would like to get to know her and has talked about reaching out.
“This is a woman who is going to be a huge part of her children’s lives and Kathryn knows nothing about her.
Heather gave birth to Thomas’s son earlier this year and the pair are now engaged to be married [/caption]

“She didn’t know about the pregnancy for months and only found out about the engagement from an online news article.”
Talking about their custody battle, the source added: “Kathryn is adamant she’s going to get through this like she has in the past, and she will do whatever she needs to to keep her kids.
“She says people can say whatever they want about her, she doesn’t care anymore, she’s just focused on Kensie and Saint.”
A source close to Thomas told The Sun the former politician is open to the pair getting to know each other ahead of their wedding, “if she does indeed wish to meet her.”
They added: “With respect to Kathryn and Thomas’ issues, Heather prefers to stay neutral on the topic. She’d have no problem talking to her.”
During a recent episode of Southern Charm, Kathryn revealed Thomas had tried to hide Heather’s pregnancy from her, despite her living in the guest room at his house while hers was being renovated.

Thomas surprised fans by announcing the birth of his son, Jonathan, earlier this year [/caption]
“A while back, I found a positive pregnancy test at his house and he was like, ‘Wasn’t me, must have been someone else,’” she said on the Bravo show’s November 12 episode.
“I had heard that he had been spotted at an OBGYN with a girl who was showing. It’s not a normal thing.”
The news was then confirmed and Kathryn found out via her attorney, she told friends during the episode.
Heather and Thomas, who were not in a relationship when she fell pregnant, have kept their blossoming romance mostly private, while he also tweeted saying he won’t be getting a prenup.
Mother-of-three Heather, 40, is yet to comment on their relationship, but describes herself on her private Instagram account as “happily engaged.”

In court documents filed in South Carolina and obtained by The Sun, Thomas discusses moving into his new $1.8million home in Aiken, two hours outside of Charleston, which boasts 5.85-acres, a pool and stables.
“I am in the process of renovating the home, and it should be ready for occupancy in May 2021,” he said.
“There will be individual rooms for all three of my children plus guest rooms for Heather’s children when they visit.
“My fiancee, Heather, and I plan to marry as soon as the Aiken house is finished.
“Because the 2019 Final Order restrains Heather from living with me until we are married, Heather currently resides separately with my son, Jackson, in Charleston.”
He went on to explain in the documents that he pays Heather $4,000 a month to help with expenses and sees Jackson whenever he wants.
Thomas added that his two children with ex Kathryn have spent “lots of time with Jackson and they love their younger brother as well as Heather.”

Exclusive photographs obtained by The Sun show Kathryn leaving a salon in Charleston, South Carolina last week after stunning fans by going blond, as she showed off her new svelte figure.
The star wore skin-tight leather pants, biker boots, cream fur and a black cocoon shearling Balenciaga jacket, which retails at $4,850.
This comes despite Thomas’s claims in court documents that she’s “broke” and “only has $11 in her bank account.”
In the filings obtained by The Sun, Thomas alleged Kathryn was ordered to pay $100 in child support a month per child, but “never paid it consistently.”
Her mother, who has now passed away, wrote him the child support checks, he claimed.
Thomas wrote: “Kathryn has made hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past few years as a reality TV star yet is consistently broke.”
He went on: “Money mismanagement issues have plagued Kathryn her entire life; in our first custody action, she spent tens of thousands of dollars on clothes a month, but failed to pay her water bill.”

He claimed that since they agreed to joint custody in November 2019, the reality star has “texted me numerous times asking for money, despite making a six-figure income.”
The former politician then alleged: “At one point this summer, Kathryn begged me for money and told me she only had $11 in her bank account.”
In Kathryn’s response filed in December, she said: “I work on a television show and I get paid per episode. We have only shot two episodes so far this year because of Covid.
“This has put me in a financial bind for this year and I cannot afford to finance a defense to Plaintiff’s claims or for a guardian.”
She requested Thomas reimburse her for attorney fees and costs.
Thomas is demanding full custody of the children, while Kathryn is requesting they continue to share joint custody.
The Sun exclusively revealed Kathryn filed a motion to seal their custody battle on December 18.
