TEEN Mom star Catelynn Lowell was slammed for “using her grief” over her miscarriages to make money with a “clickbait” article.

The 28-year-old posted a photo of herself crying in a recent Instagram post.

Alongside the snap, the MTV star wrote: “This has been such a hard year for us & now we have more devastating news.”

After noting that she had a link to the story in her bio, Catelynn continued: “Thank you for the support from those of you who have been reaching out as we are grieving.”

The post comes after Catelynn announced she recently suffered a second miscarriage.

Teen Mom fans took to Reddit to slam the reality star for trying to profit off of her loss.

One person wrote: “I can’t imagine using my sadness and grief as clickbait. This girl has no chill.”


Fans said she turned her grief into a ‘brand’[/caption]


Others called the post ‘depressing’[/caption]

Another fan added: “Catelynn has managed to turn her depression into her ‘brand’ and that in and of itself is depressing.”

A following person responded: “As someone who has depression and anxiety my head is hurting just thinking about. (Brain fog mostly).”

An additional Reddit user said: “Wt-absolute-f. She’s incentivizing her traumas by turning them into cash, she’s never going to heal. She’s not an inspiration, she’s a cautionary tale.”

The criticisms continued as another person wrote: “I’m usually fine just ignoring clickbait from people – because usually it’s just some dumb story that’s irrelevant overall and I just keep on scrolling. But posting clickbait multiple times about miscarrying is just flat out gross.”

Catelynn has been open about her miscarriage and updated fans about how she’s coping following the ordeal on Monday

The Teen Mom star wrote on her Instagram Stories: “Infant loss/miscarriage grief is real… you are NOT alone and I know I’m not either… shuts hard sometimes [sic],”

“And that grief/sadness comes in waves and that’s OK!”


She’s been married to Tyler since 2015[/caption]


Catelynn recently got a tattoo as a tribute to the miscarriages[/caption]

The 16 & Pregnant alum also wrote on Facebook: “I just want one more baby… is that too much to wish for/want.”

Additionally, Catelynn shared a snap of the the tattoo she got as a tribute to her loss.

Catelynn and husband Tyler Baltierra, 28, are parents to Carly, 11, Novalee, five, and one-year-old Vaeda. 

The pair gave up Carly for adoption at birth.

Back in 2017, Catelynn checked herself into a mental health facility after suffering a miscarriage.

During an emotional 2018 episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler opened up about the “trauma” from the first miscarriage. 

He recalled: “When you see her shaking and she’s got blood everywhere, it’s like, you don’t really know what to do.

“She kind of cleaned herself up, and we kind of figured out what was going on. So we just saw on the bed and cried. We just held each other. There’s nothing you can really do.”
