US orders ALL passengers arriving from UK to have had negative Covid tests amid spread of Covid super-strain

THE US will now require Americans and others flying in from the UK to be tested for coronavirus after a new Covid strain hit the country.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the testing mandate on Thursday night.

The new strain that’s been spreading in the UK has caused resurgent infections, hospitalizations, and deaths at the end of an already devastating year.

US officials hope the testing mandate will stop the new strain from spreading the the country, The Washington Post reported.

The move “could potentially affect tens of thousands of travelers per month but it stops short of an outright halt, as dozens of other nations, including Canada, have done,” the Post noted.
